One of those days. Why do we always want what we cannot have? I used to dream of "home". Now I am home I dream of you.
Last night I saw your most beautiful bridge in the dark, I had a coffee in one of your hidden alleys, I walked on your shinny cobblestones. Last night I woke up in tears. First time I am without passport in years.
I might be homeless (...once more, I've lost count of how many times I have started from scratch... literally) but at least I am in very good and varied company!
Miss my peeps though, and the country that welcomed me and helped me out for so long.
- 7 DAYS LEFT IN THIS OFFICE AND 2 MONTHS APROX LEFT IN THIS COUNTRY after13 years in this company and 30 years in this country
<3 time to go home <3
And what do I do in between (my last) calls these days, other than gossip the state of affairs with my soon-to-be ex-colleagues? either some studying, reading or...

yep, this one is Chinese with a Japanese actor. My new favorite love story. Love doesn't need fireworks nor violins, nor men in lipstick.
Happy Monday, earthlings
PS _ I guess this will mark also the end of Lulu Nearlythere, as she is getting back there at last :)
I go back home in summer after 4 years; a completely different human being. It is very likely I won't survive the temperatures when I can barely withstand 26 degrees in the UK these days. I hope I have time to give everyone a breath-taking hug before I pass out, at least.
I had another song to say "hasta la vista, baby" but it was far too angry and this blog has seen too much of that. This one was another present from V (BTS), I can't wait for him to resume civil life and start sharing music again.
PS _ I had my first taste of real K-life, in the form of Soju (소주) its national alcoholic drink, I hated it :'( It has to be said I bought it in AMAZON so God only knows if it was indeed 소주 or pharmacy alcohol.) It reminded me a little of weak gin and I hate gin after I loved it too much for a whole night many many lives ago.
I have also bought what I need to prepare 김치 (kimchi) when I get back, lets hope that goes better. I will never be able to fish a kman without both 김치 or 소주.
PSS _ Oh yes, I am still at it with their language. I am taking computer etc to be able to attend to the lesson this Tuesday and study over there while Spaniards are working. <wiggles eyebrows> I am beginning to grasp the little nuances of its grammar, exciting times.
PSSS _ they shot the ex president? his own men to make him look stronger? the enemies to get rid of him at last? the special services that have gone even more incompetent than Boeing following the lets-see-who-can-be-less-competent trend? .. do you really still give a flying shit about the state of the world and the ways in which they make us think of it? good luck with that my friend. I will continue to enjoy fiction for a little bit longer :)
and then we flew back. The approach to Gatwick... a loooong nightmare. I wasn't expecting anything different considering the first flight had gone without a hiccup, and lately, a perfect flight is nothing short of a miracle.
Funnily enough, pilots have finally confirmed something is amiss and that turbulences are a lot more frequent and violent than they used to be, and blame global warming—or whatever this mess is called this week —As with so many other fuck ups lately, I saw this one coming.
PS: No, I did not cry. Yes, Little Pea did, like a baby. I have to take her out (flying) more often, Global Warming permitting

And in the sunshine, and in the river and in the restaurants and in the kitchen and in the living room and... yes... this Summer is certainly better than the last one.
I could have ended up in the bottom on the Miño when my companions decided to let me dive in this state
(thank you for such a faithful portrait, Dim. Did you place hidden cameras or something :P??)
((This post I wrote in August 2019. I never got to publish it. That summer I let my hair down in a way I hadn't done for at least 20 years. I didn't know why I just realised suddenly how precious and how delicate life is and didn't want to waste a single drop of it. The winter before I got this odd feeling something awful was about to happen. The hair at the back of my neck would stand without reason over and over. I had nearly forgotten about it when in January I started reading about a certain virus. No need to tell the rest of the story.
Now I understand what happened to me that summer. There is a possibility I will not see another summer like that one. Right now I sit in my flat on my third day of another holiday at home as I cannot risk being unpaid for weeks should anything go awry on my way back. Well, sitting... sitting... I have an hour to get ready before meeting some friends to go out while the "antivaxers" (how these fuckers love labels, my goodness, if life was that simple...) are allowed in public places.
Enjoy the new "abnormal", I am very much afraid it is here to stay. Apparently, they are now trying PCR-like tests for influenza—Happy-ish summer folks))
As they do the holidays are coming to an end with a bittersweet taste.
I haven't read a book, hardly written a line. I guess I am still in suspended animation.
I have laughed a lot though, kissed and hugged, slept eaten definitely drank - I guess ladies do drink when suspended in the air- danced and loved a lot. I even swam all the way to Portugal and back - apparently... I don't remember much *blush* -
And what is letf? A beautiful grandmother mirror and an early flight.
A long list of things to do and a short number of years to do them ... if we survive the last crazy day of fiesturri of course.
Good weekend, humanoids. See you on the other side

OK it's
not country, but it's got a certain something, and horses, and hats,
and guitars and I have been singing it all day while preparing to take
off on my very own metal horse tomorrow night. Landing in a beautiful city far far away from the town of fire and mountain in little less than 24 hours. what to do while Berlin sleeps? Dance. Of course.
*LU looks at her bed and shakes her head. Not tonight darling. Not for another 14 nights.
"She's very quiet" the big taxi driver asks , looking at my daughter from the mirror. Well... asks... he doesn't ask a thing, he states a fact. "She's a teenager" I answer a little miffed. I am not used to anyone criticizing my daughter other than me. I go on to explain apologetically how amazing she used to be until her hormones showed up, he goes on to blame the eternal 'blameables': mobile phones and social media. In this manner starts our first visit to my parent's house in two years, with that, an economy flight and something else... I wonder if this will end up being just another of my unfinished blogs.
